Guest randomelements Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Since just before midnight I've been unable to connect to 3G with the error: Dialed: general.tmobile.uk Could not connect for unknown reason Now, either they're screwing around with something for the 'official' HSDPA go live or I've got an outage in my area. I'll check as I move through different areas on the way to work and also give them a call when I get there. I'm in Kent. Cheers, Colin.
Guest finisterre Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Yeah, I can make calls, but can't get any sort of data this morning. I'm in Centralish London.
Guest Confucious Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Mid Sussex no connectionLast sync 23:47 when I was on train on way home from Lndon. No connection since. :D
Guest randomelements Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 (edited) Just spoken to TM There are BIG 3G issues and they say they should have it fixed by MONDAY!!!!! They said it was due to "speed problems" but I reckon they've cocked something up :D Edited September 1, 2006 by randomelements
Guest AndrewH13 Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Also told Monday before 3G back. To switch to GPRS, CS said they would have to send an email, you delete it, take out battery, then re-connect. Must be the 'official' switching on of HSDPA! Just got network message 'please delete'. Strange way of switching over, thought we would have had a handset option?
Guest Palindrome Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 No connection in West London. In fact, I hadn't even noticed it thanks to the WiFi option (that might have sounded smug :D ).
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 No 3G ever at my house :D Boo, hiss :D P
Guest bydandie Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Yep same here, didn't connect last night! :D
Guest finisterre Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Bit strange to get no data at all though. If 3G is broke, shouldn't it use GPRS? When I'm at home and sometimes 3G drops off due to weak signal, it usually connects via GPRSinstead.
Guest mattie01 Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 yeap not been able to connect since about 11.34 last night... and i kno it was working half hour before that.. there timing sucks... i was hoping to log in at midnight and find out all the latest fotty transfers.. bah.. oh well at least this forums has saved me from doing a hard reset incase it was somethign i broke :D
Guest randomelements Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 (edited) 3G is back (for now). My direct push mails started coming through and I can browse the web. Let's see if it lasts! HMMM! Performance is toast though! Edited September 1, 2006 by randomelements

Guest gingerprince Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 No problem here (Leeds/Bradford), still working. And I checked it an hour ago and I had a few IMAP emails this morning from about 7am so either it was still working then or it failed back to GPRS.

Guest danktuft Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 I had these problems, started on the train from Waterloo at around (can't give an exact time due to glugging induced memory loss) 11.30 last night, wouldn't work first thing this morning, seems to work fine now. It didn't automatically switch over to GPRS either.
Guest Pondrew Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Windows Live Mobile (Beta) spent ages trying to connect shortly after nine this morning but managed it in the end. Seems to be working now?
Guest demusss Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 I'm having problems getting any sort of data connection. No 3G, no GPRS. :D Can usually get 4 bars of GPRS as the mast is only 100metres away. I'm in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire
Guest Palindrome Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 My 3G came back on just before 4pm.
Guest danktuft Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 My 3G came back on just before 4pm. Mines gone again, SW London.
