Virtual earth Mobile

I've been using virtual earth mobile on my Vario II but there is a big problem: try searching for an address, say for example cromer terrace in Leeds (UK) and VEM will zoom in to a US place that has "cromer" or "terrace" in its name. Although most contacts of mine are based in the UK, when using the automatic pinpointing of these on Virtual earth Mobile, none were located correctly (i.e. all in the US).

Am I doing something wrong?!!

I've given up with Virtual Earth, you're better off using Map24 (download fom map24.com).

It's quicker, only covers Europe so won't show you random US places, and has a more effective search.

Doesn't do satalite images though.

Had a play with most of the free map applications and would rank them thus:

Map24 - fast (even over GPRS) and only occasional odd search results

Google Mobile - just about usable but slow and a horrible interface

MGMaps - slow, buggy

Virtual Earth Mobile - impossible to use over GPRS, barely useable with 3G

I'll stick to Map24 and use Multimap over the web if I want satelite images for now.
