help: activesync 4.2 not syncing contacts

Hi everyone.

Just got an m3100 for a member of my fam, and when he tried to sync his contacts, everything synced except for the contacts! When I went into activesync settings I saw the contact box was greyed out! Am using outlook 2003 and activesync 4.2.

I remember there was a similar problem on the m600s but I can't seem to find the solution!

If anyone is wiser or knows the solution,would love some help!
