Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 1, 2006 Report Posted November 1, 2006 I'd say it's unlikely, but you never know! P
Guest spangelsaregreat Posted November 1, 2006 Report Posted November 1, 2006 Silly question I know but...... Could you still pair this with a bluetooth GPS reciever for navigation? The reason I ask is I use my JAMin for off road biking and I doubt the inbuilt GPS would give a battery life time of much more than a few hours. I get upto 6 or 7 hours with the JAMin. Ta
Guest EggZenBeanz Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 hi, I have just received my P3300, is tomtom on the rom? i would like to hard reset the device, how is this done?
Guest NightFox Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 I already have Tomtom 6 on my Wizard - if I was to upgrade to this phone, do you know if I would be able to go for the "taster" version as opposed to the "premium" version and use the maps I've already got?
Guest docc Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 Paul, What do you have to say about the processor? I have read on GPSpassion that the processor is really sluggish after installing just a few applications. They say that its also sluggish when calculating routes; do you agree? What has been your experience as far as the processor is concerned?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 My experience hasn't been that... I have all my usual applications installed, and it's performing as i'd expect. P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 Having said that, I install most stuff to storage card... P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 I'm writing the P3300 review now... it's not exactly complimentary  Can any current P3300 owners please PM me ASAP? P
Guest docc Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 When you said that its working as you'd expected, do you mean "Its about as much as an OMAP 200 Mhz can do" or do you mean "I thought it would stink but is definitely better" ? Thanks for the prompt responses, highly appreciated! Cheers.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 Well, i've never had any problems with the OMAP 200MHz in my usage scenarios TBH, so it's working like it always does - fine for me! P
Guest J273 Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 Does this device have an FM radio....I'm sure ive read it does maybe wrong though...If so paul have you tried it....Is it anygood? Also do you think this will be replacing your Vario II? Thanks
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 Yeah, it has an FM radio. It's OK, it has RDS, but it 'stutters' when system sounds such as clicking a menu occur. If you turn those off, it's fine. Will this be replacing my Vario II? Not a chance! P
Guest docc Posted November 3, 2006 Report Posted November 3, 2006 Hmmm, i have held down the purchase mainly because of what i have read on different forums. You also mentioned that your review isn't exactly complimenting the device... When's the review gonna be up?
