Guest Toyota-F1.com Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 (edited) I got a text yesterday that I would receive a software update this week. Today, I got a text with a URL link in it. I downloaded this (which didn't cost me even with no GPRS bundle), it's about 500KB, and installed it. I don't know what it does though. It's created a new folder in the Program Files folder (called SNAPin) and got a few pictures and different files and bits and bobs, and using task manager, I can see it's running something called siWatcher.exe and siHome.exe in the Process List. No idea :/ Edited November 8, 2006 by Toyota-F1.com
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Do you have the URL still? I'm intrigued! P Edit: Related to this? http://www.snapin.com/news_orange.html
Guest Toyota-F1.com Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 (edited) Probably is related the that website somehow. When I clicked on this topic, I found another thread on the "Similar topics" that is actually already discussing this: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=248258 My URL by the way was http://www.orange-update.com/3 (accessed from phone). Guest RT87 Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 It added the stupid camera thing, where if you take a picture it asks if you want to send it to a friend or upload it.
Guest Toyota-F1.com Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Mine doesn't do that... (The cab file was called [something.. sp2003... .cab] I remember) i.e. not c550.
Guest RT87 Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Yeah, I had the same CAB file. Maybe reboot and it will do it?
