Connecting M3100 to Exchange Server

Hi All,

I'm getting an M3100 for work in the next couple of weeks, and hoping to be able to use it's full functionality with our MS Exchange server, hopefully to access email, calendar, contacts perhaps even files on the server.

Any tips for setting it up to access an Exchange server?

A step by step guide to Exchange Email would be fantastic

I've tried setting up my existing c550 to access Exchange Email via Active Sync, but I must be missing a setting or something...

Do I need to set up a VPN on the M3100?

thanks

Billinge

You don't need a VPN.

You do, however, need to ensure that your Exchange Server is 2003, service pack 2.

Depending on your network settings, you either enter the same address as your outlook web access external address, or if you have a proxy required for outlook anywhere access, then you need to enter that address.

If your exchange server is the correct version, then exchange activesync should be enabled by default. Just plug the device into a pc with activesync on the network and select Exchange Server when it asks you how you want to sync. Then follow the prompts. Once its set up, you can then select whether you want directpush (push email) enabled in the Com Mgr on the device.
