...What about that Orange software!!! I don't mind the Orange home screen too much but for gods sake, Why can't we use active desktop like it says in the manual. Orange if your listening - "A choice would be nice!!"

What do you guys think?

Fully agree with consumers from this point of view.

There should at least be an option for the Orange homescreen to be turned off, but instead Orange tout it as a feature as part of the 'Signiture Device' range.

Just reflashed my D600 because of it. At least with SPVs there's the option to switch it off!

btw: with the 6680 I'm pretty sure there's a piece of software floating around the net that kills the homescreen process. Google is your friend :)

I've done some searching on this and the only real way to get rid of it is to flash the firmware. My local Nokia Service Centre told me this morning they don't do it right now.....

Also, I found that software - hskiller.sis. It doesn't work on my 6680 :)

I'd recommend going to an independent repair/flash centre, such as ones you find behind papershops - they'll usually do it for a couple of tenners under the counter :)
