Guest madu Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 And I might get fired.. Just hoping they don't waste time with checking proxy connections per user... And the amount of links I have clicked on.... Oh my god!! Going upto 10000 i guess
Guest gevans2000 Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 I think the SPV must be cursed or something. People are losing their jobs, failing exams - me too (final year comp science exams are a lot less fun than playing with doom, gameboy emulator etc - and anyway, who cares about "Integration in Large Systems"?) Nice work on NotBad btw - keep up the good work!! ;)
Guest uczmeg Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Good useful software is worth paying for. So go for it! There isn't much comepetition yet. Now if you could work the joystick keyboard I mentioned in an earlier post: http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=2551 Into your notepad (as I suspect it would be easier to implement it as part of an app rather than have it work on all text boxes) and then make it easy to use the text files produced as emails or sms messages I'd pay plenty! Cheers Marc
Guest almark Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 MBoden, charge for it, even it it is only £1 Remember 50,000 owners !! Do the sums!! No one minds paying £1, especailly when it is going to such a decent chap :?
Guest muude Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 The dude is right... That would get you a loooot of money, and perhaps a bit more motivation, so this could work out for everyone!! (not saying you have a lack of motivation, just saying $$$ always ups motivation)
Guest EGAN Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 I am pretty new to all this but the Notpad sounds pretty good. I have downloaded it, but how do I unzip the thing and put it onto my Smartphone ?? Can someone talk me through it Thanks guys NEIL
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 Just copy the file to your storage cardPrograms Files Then create a short cut in IPSMWindowsStart MenuAccessories Remember I'm pretty sure your phone will need to be de-certified first
Guest J1A1H Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 That is one amazing app very well done!!! keep them coming. Is it possible to make a copy of winamp? a cut down version maybe? that would be amazing WELL DONE
Guest jaknife2000 Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 I have a question relating to "Notbad" from Mboden. I do really like the app thanks, but i have a couple of questions / requests. I use it to read ebooks on my phone, what is the total number of lines supported ? if you know, i uploaded Dune and it overloaded it, so i cut it into two halves, works lovely now. I recommend users if they want to use it for ebook reading get something like notetab lite, you can set in there the max screen width, set that to 24 characters and it fits the screen perfectly. My second question was, is it possible to have a book mark facility ? So not only can i read my books, but i can save where i am up to, rather than starting again and scrolling down each time. Just a suggestion tho, i would love to see Acrobat Reader or MS Reader for the phone, but i can convert them to txt, and use your notbad, if it had bookmarks. Thank you for listening.
Guest madu Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 jaknife, have a look at Speed Reader Plus. It is a great app for reading. Supports .txt files (only - i think). As for Adobe - these docs take ages to load on my work PC and that is definitely more pwrful than an SPV - so I doubt Adobe will make it onto this phone. MS Reader - never seen this app. Notbad is notbad at all. Thanx.
Guest sprouts42 Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Cheers, thats pefect for me ;)
Guest MBoden Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 madukrainian> HEY !! stop sending my customers to the competitors !! NotBad V2 has wordwrap (and copy/paste and find) 8)
Guest jaknife2000 Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 That's ok MBoden, i don't intent to go elsewhere, i love your app, i just would like the bookmark part, its nice and fast, and clean and easy to understand, i don't want to read at twenty five thousand words a minute, i want to read of what i have already got, not necessarily becasue it's free, but becasue its GOOD. I don't suppose you would have any idea on when V2 trial would be available ? I'm here, waiting, ready to test it for you. I did post a software wishlist in the other room with some business type apps listed, so if you do want to make some money from your SPV coding, the items listed there are ALL viable business apps, that business users would pay for, things like IR printing and that.
Guest madu Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 madukrainian> HEY !! stop sending my customers to the competitors !! NotBad V2 has wordwrap (and copy/paste and find) 8) Mboden, fear not!! I am a fan of your soft and apart from that it's in a different league.... And it's free and can actually do more. Reader is for reading and with Doom on my phone (as soon as i get my 256mb that was ordered 3wks ago..) I won't have time to read ;) Version 2 you say??
Guest RMWD Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 madukrainian> NotBad V2 has wordwrap (and copy/paste and find) 8) NotBad is good. I would be happy to pay cheapware for version 2 when it is available. The cut paste feature is an essential and will make v2 a must have. Will you be putting in Pocket PC note file compatability (.pwi) as this would mean that my pocket pc notes of which I have many could be read by NotBad?
