Guest smckane Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Hi, I managed to crack the top (when viewed in portrait) of the LCD causing the crystals to leak out and rendering 20% of the display unreadable. My own stupid fault so I'm gonna have to cough up for repairs. I was wondering if anyone has experience of T-Mobile's repairs service or if you could recommend another company that can fix HTC Universal (MDA Pro) screens for a decent price? Thanks for your help in advance! Stewart
Guest CaptainZok Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 You could buy one on ebay and swap it yourself. Not very difficult, remove 4 screws in the base of the screen, unclip housing, unplug 3 cables inside, remove screen, replace new screen and as they say reassembly is the reverse of removal. Screen/digitiser units go for about £90 on ebay.
Guest smckane Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Thanks :-) Was worried that home repair would be a hellish vision of tiny screws and a myriad of cables :-)
