Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 I meant on a forum, unless you could have sentences start directly from your ID on the left ;) Looks a little strange others Either way nm, now i know...
Guest rcraswell Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 Paul, Send me a note when you're in Redmond and I'll take you out for a pint. I'll show you all the Redmond hot spots (as if there were any... sigh.) --ron
Guest rcraswell Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 And yes, Microsoft does have an Orange transmitter in one of their buildings. However, the power is low enough though that nobody to my knowledge has managed to get a signal outside the building. (and yes, we tried...) We generally just use the T-Mobile now. --ron
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 27, 2003 Report Posted January 27, 2003 Do MVPs receive payment from Microsoft? No. Microsoft does provide a small award of software, but MVPs do not receive any monetary payment from Microsoft. What did you get, if you don't mind me asking?
Guest Robert Levy (MS) Posted January 27, 2003 Report Posted January 27, 2003 What did you get, if you don't mind me asking? We receive a complimentary subscription to MSDN. But the big thing is having direct access to the teams at Microsoft. Welcome to the group, Paul - I look forward to meeting you in February. There are now 5 MVPs in the Smartphone category (including Paul and myself). The only downside to being an MVP is that all of the inside info we get is covered by a non-disclosure agreement which means we usually can't spill the beans until official announcements are made. This includes what we will see during that week in Redmond next month. Robert Levy Microsoft MVP - Mobile Devices, Smartphone
