IE browsing through WI-FI

I have finally managed to connect to my netgear router (sky broadband giving me headache) through wifi. But it seems that every time I then try to surf through IE the little edge symbol appears. Even though I have wireless on it defaults to browsing through Edge. Is there a way to stop this - ive looked through the settings (which are minimal) but the only options seem to be to connect through the internet or orange or wap. Its set to auto detect and the internet but still tries using edge.

Is there a way around this

It works!

Setting the wifi Power save mode to 'best performance' did the trick for me. Apparently the 'auto' mode is a bit crappy...
