anyone found a decent case ?

I am looking for something that protects the screen when carrying.

yeah, looks like HTC customers get there hard cases for free. Orange customers get told, sorry the manual is wrong they don't come with them.

Mind, I suspect they are more like a carrying pouch than a case. i.e. It needs to be taken out of the pouch to be used.

yea, I know, i like those ones better. It would be hard to find a case that supports the slide out keyboard, and isnt a pain in the @$$. I know that the htc wizard cases are available, but not worth it, because it gets caught on stuff alot.

I complained about the missing pouch to orange Fr, I'm still waiting for an answer. Meanwhile, I also complained to HTC Europe and here's the answer :

"We are aware of the missing pouch issue with the S710. This was due to a batch error at the distribution Centre.

Please provide us with your address, IMEI and a contact number, and we shall send you out a pouch free of charge."

How did you get them to send you one? I contacted HTC America and they were CLUELESS! They didn't know this phone even existed. Got the typical US-market "we only service phones sold through US carriers"

If you could let me know who/where you contacted to get the case, I'd appreciate it.

P.S. Purchased my phone through MobilePlanet (and am LOVING it!)

I'm still looking for a decent case too. I always trust Krusell to make a good one and it looks like they now have a E650 specific design:

http://www.krusell.se/product.php?productI...amp;category=51

The only problem is that it doesn't look like it's actually available yet...

This other one seems like a nice alternative, but I've never been keen on holster type cases:

http://www.krusell.se/productUni.php?produ...amp;category=53

It doesn't look like Krusell will make one of those skin tight cases for this phone. Which is a shame as I really liked those, I had a great one for my C500. After a month and a bit of use my E650 is picking up some marks and I would rather it didn't collect any more...(NEVER put your phone in your bag with all your other random crap and expect it to come out spotless :) ).

I use the Krusell Horizon with Multidapt

that you can find at: http://www.krusell.se/productUni.php?produ...amp;category=49

It was sold to me when I got the s710 from the shop.

I find it very nice and strong. You have to be a bit careful at the beginning when you take it out since the leather is quite hard.

To take the case out of my belt is very easy.

Erm... how exactly would you make a skin tight case for a slider phone?

I got mine from a ebay seller in Hong Kong, only took 5 days to arrive and it is a quality case, good leather and it allows the keyboard to slide out! Its not cheap at £14.50 including shipping, but its quality, check it out.

Well yeah you'd have to take it out if you want to use the keyboard, obviously. But that's no big problem. You need to take it out of any case if you want to use the keyboard!

The difference is with a skintight case you wouldn't have to take it out just to use the normal phone functions. There probably can't be a design that gives the device full protection and allows you to use the keyboard at the same time. You have to compromise somewhere!

I'd rather the case was something that protects it while you're using it, not just something you put it back into when you're done. I like to be able to make and receive calls without needing to remove the case.

I got mine from from an Ebay shop in Hong Kong, its an all leather case and very well made and you can slide out the keyboard, charge it, use the camera etc etc without removing from the case. Having used it for a month now, i am really pleased with it and as far as I am concerned an absolute bagin at £14.50. I know some people will say HONG KONG!! No way, but it arrived within 5 day! Does the plastic over the keyboard make the keys harder to press accurately? I like the case, but I worry that with the plastic over the keyboard multiple letters will get pressed at the same time

That one does look cool. I like the Flip-Case version.

How thick is the clear plastic that covers the sliders and keyboard; does it not force the 2 halves of the phone apart a little?

My E650 seems pretty snug, there's very little play - and no real gap - between the top and bottom halves.
