Guest mutejute Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 how can i disable the gprs? i have webpages downloaded/saved as html files from firefox in my micro-sd card for offline viewing. some of my html files connect to the internet when viewed from the pocket internet explorer and i dont want it. is there a way to deactivate gprs temporarily without deleting the gprs setting. or probably just edit some of the gprs settings so it wont successfully connect. many thanks.
Guest wierni Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 Search on 'NoData' from Paul (mpv) You should find MoDaCo_NoData.CAB
Guest mutejute Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 the problem is, i cant install anything in my orange spv-e650. tried it twice, even the the app unlocking from francetelecom, didnt work. i always end up hard-resetting the phone. if i delete the settings->connections->gprs->orange internet, is it easy to reenable/add it later? i dont want to get rid of it permanently cause i might need it.

If you want to do it that way, it's easier to: - Under Connections, GPRS: create a new (fake) GPRS connection that will not work. Name it "No GPRS" - Go to Connections, Menu/Advanced and set your "Internet Connection" to "No GPRS". Do not use "Automatic" or your "Orange Internet" - Any time you want GPRS, go to Connections, Menu/Advanced and set your "Internet Connection" back to "Orange Internet". Edited May 18, 2007 by ayanGR

Guest cldchc Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 to resolve this problem: Go to: HKLM-->Comm-->ConnMgr-->Planner-->Settings-->SuspendResume and delete ~GPRS! value. This value was couseing phone to keep active gprs connection by any meanings. When you delete it, red button will close the connection again
