Guest Doktor M@buse Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 Hello. Can you tell me how to get rid off the word proposals which are made while using T9? When I've typed a special word, T9 suggests for the next word the last word I've typed in the last time. This is annoying. Don't know how to describe better in english. On HTC Tornado you were able to disable this feature by menu. Another question: When typing in text in with T9 and T9 don't know the word I want, what is the best solution to teach-in the word? At the moment I have to delete the characters I've typed in so far, after that switch off T9, after that I've to re-activate T9. That's poor. Thanks in advance! Doktor M@buse

Doktor M@buse answer to all: use the qwerty.. :D seriously: if t9 doesnt know a word, best thing to do is to type on the querty and then it'll have it added next time you type it. how to get rid of auto-completing words i dont know either. i use the querty most of the time.. thats why i bought this phone. or are you just afraid to show off with it in public? :P
Guest Montieous Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 Lower left button, it has T9 in smallprint, hold this button down when writing a txt message or space bar on qwerty keyboard, press fn then space bar to select it. A menu pops up, then you can select which mode you want. ABC is the one I got on, I can now type nice and fast on the qwerty without it selecting words I didnt want to put in.
Guest Socrates Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 (edited) I think what he is saying is that he doesn't mind T9 filling in the word he is currently typing, but he finds it frustrating when the T9 suggests not only the word being typed but jams in the nrxt word after it which you then have to delete before continuing on. I think that's what he's talking about. I find it annoying too. Edited May 28, 2007 by Socrates
Guest harrysaab Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 is there a way to edit the dictionary of user added words?? i want to delete some words which were added accidently, e.g. when i type ring, first word comes is 'pgmg' I think what he is saying is that he doesn't mind T9 filling in the word he is currently typing, but he finds it frustrating when the T9 suggests not only the word being typed but jams in the nrxt word after it which you then have to delete before continuing on. Guest Doktor M@buse Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 @la curandera If you have switched from 'dos' to 'for' a few times, wm6 will recognize, that you like 'for' more than 'dos' and it will present the word 'for' at the very first place.
