Guest 17-APG Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Hi , I currently connect my SP5 over the "headset" profile to the sat nav system in my Audi A4. I want to buy the S710 but I see that there is no headset profile. Does this mean that I will no be able to hook up the phone to the car system?? Any guidance on this will be appreciated....
Guest conan_troutman Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 ther is no headset "profile" but there is headset connection...so yes you will be able to connect to your BT car kit(satnave in your case) and to a BT headset...it will use the profile currently selected so don't leave it on silent in the car as you will miss allsorts of calls. hope that helps

But I really cant see why Microsoft are removing important features like this in new versions of the O/S. They should be complimenting them instead. With my SP5 I can set the headset profile to auto answer in 7 seconds and have other useful features. And already someone has told me that the outlook phone book in WM6 is not compatible with the Audi Sat Nav phone preparation sysem. It will not swhow up on the display....
Guest conan_troutman Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 yeah didnt you know that added features means to remove something we like just look at activesynch one the wm2k3 to wm5 they took away category filtering another "added" feature....lol
Guest 17-APG Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 works fine on my BMW 5. Can you see your S710 phone book on your display and call you call numbers from it?
Guest colonel_butt Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 Can you see your S710 phone book on your display and call you call numbers from it? yes, no problem. although the first time I connected it, it did something strange. It permanently held open the data connection so that the radio/cd never came on. I deleted the partnership and re-partnered and it is all ok now.
