Guest Hardz Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 I have been offered an MDA Vario and want to know just a few little things. Firstly, the Vario is running the latest software from T-Moblie (released 06/06 I believe). I don't want to upgrade ROMs (too complicated for me to risk). I need a tool/software to enable A2DP bluetooth. I also need a tool/software to fully unlock (sim/application and CID) the Vario. I have searched the forums but only keep finding topics about ROM upgrades and software that work with those ROMs. Thanks.
Guest xeno1 Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 I can't help you with the A2DP thing, but I can help you with the sim unlock and as far as I know, you don't have to worry about application unlocking. I've installed a lot of different apps on mine and it's never refused to install any of them. The program you need to sim unlock though is called lokiwiz and you can get it and the instructions on using it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...ght=lokiwiz.exe
Guest Hardz Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 Thanks. great link. Now as for A2DP bluetooth, does the O2 bluetooth stack (available on the Magician XDA thread) work on the Vario ?
Guest xeno1 Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 That, I don't know because I don't ever use bluetooth. I wouldn't try anything that isn't made for your vario. I learned that lesson when I tried out something like that (actually I think it was supposed to increase the reliability of my SD card) but it was made for a different phone and I ended up having to do a hard reset because of it. Check out the wizard section over there though. Usually if there is something like that for one type of phone someone goes and create a version most of the rest of them.
Guest xeno1 Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 Here you go, I did a little searching for you. Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=279459 and in the first post there is a section that says Adding A2DP (and AVRCP) support the HTC Wizard. there is a link to the file you need to download and the instructions on how to do it.
Guest Hardz Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 Wow ! What an excellent reply. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you
