Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Not sure about the Kaiser Chief puns :P but a couple of questions: 1. I have a M3100 and seriously want something smaller. How does it feel in terms of weight and overall dimensions to the Hermes? 2. Can you confirm if it's a Sirfstar GPS or the gpsOne? 1. It's quite heavy, but not unpleasantly so, and it feels much much smaller :) 2. gpsOne I believe (not 100% sure on that tho), but that's fine... the Trinity uses a Qualcomm GPS chipset and is great. P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Not sure about the Kaiser Chief puns :P Well done on being the first to spot / mention :) How many can you find? ;) P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 hey paul does it really have 128MB RAM?? does it have IR? It really does have 128MB (woohoo!) but no IR (oh well!) P
Guest Special2k3 Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Hello, can you confirm that the cam has an autofocus option? Thank you Special2k3
Guest Special2k3 Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 (edited) It does. P Ok, thank you. Would it be possible that you install TomTom or Mobile Navigator on the device and do a little test drive? Also some more pictures with the cam would be nice, but you already said that you'll post some. :) Special2k3 Edited June 30, 2007 by Special2k3
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 An extreme closeup autofocus pic, followed by a couple of random outdoor shots. More to follow. P
Guest German-User Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 i think the most important question is.. when can WE buy it :)
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 August is the current best guess. P
Guest German-User Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 August is the current best guess. P thx dude.. sounds good! .. that means september/ oktober for us in germany :) ^^
Guest markdotpeters5 Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Thanks for the pics Paul, i'm impressed, for once!
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 About time HTC made a half decent camera innit! Autofocus takes a second or two which is par for the course but a little annoying. P
Guest JPo_23 Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 I will be in Singapore in a week's time, think I have any chance of picking one of these up?
Guest toon9 Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 I'd be interested to know what the time to first fix is with say Tom Tom Navigator 6. Is there any GPS software installed that speeds this up ? Curious to know what version of Bluetoth Software is present also.............then again - test ROM might differ from production unit.
Guest Fel Ian Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Since it has 3G will it stilli come out on T-Mobile USA?
Guest toon9 Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Blimey.......this thread is going to fast for me, I cannot keep up !!
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 The only USA operator i've had confirmed to date is AT&T i'm afraid... of course a HTC branded SIM free unit will work fine on T-Mo USA. P
Guest calvin42 Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 can you please state how much free program and storage memory is there? I have a universal now at it has very low free memory after some hours of use... calvin
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 I have installed a bunch of stuff, but with 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM, it's not really an issue :) P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 A time of writing I have a whole ton of apps open and still have over 50MB Program Memory free, and over 100MB of Storage Memory! P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Like the Athena, the camera button is a 2 stage press, focus then take picture. P
Guest goody301 Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Does it accept SDHC memory cards (4 GB capacity and more)?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Theoretically yes, I don't have one to try tho :) P
Guest goody301 Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Theoretically yes, I don't have one to try tho :) P Is there a SDHC logo on the device or does the manual say so? May I ask what is the source of your answer? Please excuse this questioning, but large memory card capacity is very important for me.
