What's the deal? Most sites are saying that the Kaiser will be coming out in August (some even mentioned 08/08 as the release date!). Do you know something different that would suggest September?

The HTC Branded (the actual Kaiser) will most likely come out in August, then the spin-off's by other companies (a.k.a T-mobile's version, Cingular's version, etc...) is coming out in Sept.

Thought of a few more questions (which I know are software related, so might not be there in the final):

With regards to the HTC Home Screen (under the Profiles tab)

1. Is it possible to edit the profiles (I'm assuming yes)

2. Can you set one of them as timed (similar to SPB Phone Suite - possibly by holding stylus on them and then selecting the time to be that profile for)

Also, did HTC include a "Reject with SMS" option?? Or an SMS threader??

The TyTN flash is pants anyway, i'd rather have no flash and a better performing camera in low light!

There are a few programs around to turn the screen into a torch, even one that does different colours I think, should be OK!

With the kaiser having 256mb rom....Would it be possible to install tomtom + a map on the internal ROM do you think?

Also with it being over 190g can you tell the difference from a tytn to the kaiser?,thats the only thing putting me off even though ill still be getting one :)

I'm wondering too. www.htc.com still doesn't display the P4550 on their site. I can't see AT&T offering it any earlier than 9/10 (I believe that was the date from the FCC info where HTC asked them not to reveal the manual details until then). I just hope we can get the unit in the US from the overseas sources sometime in August even though the price will be high, high, high...

I visited the new AT&T Experience store in Atlanta this morning, specifically to ask about the 8925. The sales guy told me that they had recently met with a HTC rep and were told to expect the new phone by the end of this month. Seems a bit premature to me, especially since the sales guy couldn't tell me which Kaiser variant AT&T was offering.

Do you know how to change the handset Icons in WMDC? I'm using an 8525 with my 1st Vista setup. It's connecting and syncing but just shows a generic PPC Icon. Sure would like to change it.
