Guest mortenandersen Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 Paul, was my question too silly? Nobody has answered. Well, again: Will a screen protector on the htc p4550 in some way or other make the touch screen sensitivity more inaccurate or worse than not using a screen protector?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 Er, well, no more so on the TyTN II than other devices? P
Guest jim.mason Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 I wonder how long now before Orange, Voda and T-Mobile add it to their Coming Soon pages... The way things have happened with the Touch, probably the same time that the fat fella in the red outfit starts coming down our chimney  Anyway, at least its been officially announced - Paul you must get p@%sed off not getting any cooperation from the big boys at HTC. I think I eill now drink myself into a 2 week coma so as to avoid any further suffering in having to wait. ;)
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 If HTC (or anyone else) don't want to use MoDaCo to their advantage then that's up to them ;) There's some great people at HTC, some not so great people, and some aspects of our relationship i'd change if I had a choice, but hey ho  P
Guest NuShrike Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 (edited) I think I eill now drink myself into a 2 week coma so as to avoid any further suffering in having to wait. ;)As long as you don't freeze yourself and miss it by a few hundred years. Hm.. and MobilePlanet really doesn't care to have our business nor to attempt retain preorders. No email updates from them even after they now finally announced Sept 8th this morning either. Edited August 28, 2007 by NuShrike
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 MoDaCo preorder SHOULD be up tomorrow! P
Guest Syphon Filter Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 MoDaCo preorder SHOULD be up tomorrow! P Any further details on the special bundle and the finalised "items" that are going in it?
Guest J273 Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 MoDaCo preorder SHOULD be up tomorrow! P Is that on the expansys site...or modaco shop?
Guest marios Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 The product flyer thing actually has this printed on it too as well as the tomtom logo at the bottom right. I'm wndering if its a full version, that would be brilliant. After all, whats the point in having GPS in the unit if you cant use it to navigate out of the box right? Either way, at least its "official" now and we can hope to get our hands on these things asap!! Highlights ... Find your way wherever you are with built-in GPS navigation with TomTom taster software. A quote from http://tytnseries.htc.com/htctytn2.html That says it all, i think.
Guest GordonTGopher Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 Is that on the expansys site...or modaco shop? Deets will be in this thread: http://www.modaco.com/Kaiser-pre-ordering-MoDa-t257898.html Gordon

Guest cristids Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 Hi all, A new review is up here http://www.ADVERT LINK REMOVED.com/htmls/HTC-TyTN-I...iew-r_1803.html
Guest J273 Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 Am i right in thinking your only going to get a pouch if you order the value pack or will all kaisers come with a pouch/case..,like all previous HTC models.
Guest kapot Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 Hi guys, Just a little question about this new Kaiser. I saw "weather information" in the home screen. How does it works? I meant, do I need to have "data" (internet) subscription? Because I imagine that it will collect the weather data from the internet. What happen if I don't have data/internet subscription? Or is it from the carrier network? How if I buy an unlocked one without subscription (plan), does the weather info still works? Thanks ;)

The "Taster Edition" flavor, which includes TomTom Navigator 6, but only allows you to download one City map of your choosing What tightwads! They could have given us the full compliment of maps but we're getting the full monty instead!
Guest clarkster Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 User manual is posted on HTC's support website - http://www.htc.com/support/support_htctytnII.htm# I am downloading it now, so if it gets pulled, I can send it to Paul to post somewhere.
Guest Webreaper Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 Ah, lame...I must have some kind of "selective reading" Doesn't say 'taster' here.... http://tytnseries.htc.com/htctytn2.html
Guest gregersdk Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 What's special about this Taster edition? Is it badder?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 IIRC it's just one free city map or similar... P
Guest clarkster Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 Interesting thing in the user man is it apparently includes spb gprs monitor on the app cd
Guest clarkster Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 Does this also mean you have final ROM??
