Paul, was my question too silly? Nobody has answered. Well, again: Will a screen protector on the htc p4550 in some way or other make the touch screen sensitivity more inaccurate or worse than not using a screen protector?

Er, well, no more so on the TyTN II than other devices?

I wonder how long now before Orange, Voda and T-Mobile add it to their Coming Soon pages...

The way things have happened with the Touch, probably the same time that the fat fella in the red outfit starts coming down our chimney

Anyway, at least its been officially announced - Paul you must get p@%sed off not getting any cooperation from the big boys at HTC.

I think I eill now drink myself into a 2 week coma so as to avoid any further suffering in having to wait. ;)

If HTC (or anyone else) don't want to use MoDaCo to their advantage then that's up to them ;)

There's some great people at HTC, some not so great people, and some aspects of our relationship i'd change if I had a choice, but hey ho

As long as you don't freeze yourself and miss it by a few hundred years.

Hm.. and MobilePlanet really doesn't care to have our business nor to attempt retain preorders. No email updates from them even after they now finally announced Sept 8th this morning either.

MoDaCo preorder SHOULD be up tomorrow!

P

Any further details on the special bundle and the finalised "items" that are going in it?

The product flyer thing actually has this printed on it too as well as the tomtom logo at the bottom right. I'm wndering if its a full version, that would be brilliant. After all, whats the point in having GPS in the unit if you cant use it to navigate out of the box right?

Either way, at least its "official" now and we can hope to get our hands on these things asap!!

Find your way wherever you are with built-in GPS navigation with TomTom taster software.

That says it all, i think.

Hi guys,

Just a little question about this new Kaiser.

I saw "weather information" in the home screen.

How does it works?

I meant, do I need to have "data" (internet) subscription? Because I imagine that it will collect the weather data from the internet.

What happen if I don't have data/internet subscription?

Or is it from the carrier network? How if I buy an unlocked one without subscription (plan), does the weather info still works?

Thanks ;)

The weather data is available via WiFi and through ActiveSync (if your computer is online), along with other data options. I don't believe a data subscription is necessary.

The "Taster Edition" flavor, which includes TomTom Navigator 6, but only allows you to download one City map of your choosing

What tightwads! They could have given us the full compliment of maps but we're getting the full monty instead!

What's special about this Taster edition? Is it badder?

Guest Paul (MVP)

IIRC it's just one free city map or similar...
