I have a S710 since about 3 week, and i have this movement in the kayboard.

See video here http://www.vimeo.com/241530

Is that normal???

The customer service from the store when i brought that, told is normal, but i not agree. They show me another S710 new and have the same movement in the sliding keyboard. That's unconfortable when you using the normal keyboard, because he's moving all the time. I sent an email to HTC customer service, and waiting for the response.

What do you think??

Well It is and it isn't I'm afraid.

I have an E650, When it was fresh out the box it wasn't like that, but after a few careless fumbles and drops when getting out the car its is now. I don't know what HTC customer service is like, I know with Orange if the phone had been received like that I would of been able to get another one.

Could you go back to the store? Or do HTC Have a CS number?

actually you are wrong... mine moves more than that and orange said 'it's normal'.... they say it's not a fault and would have to payfor repair and not a replacement!!!!

But why pay for a replacement, i have less than one month with that phone, and i note that movement after a week. So, the system for sliding the device have bad quality.

The store where i shop say that is normal. I have been mail the HTC customer service yesterday, so i wait what they saying...

Normally other HTC device have this movement with their sliding keyboards???

You're not the only owner of the VOX to have a slight wobble on their keyboard

See other posts in this VOX Forum here and here for example

I think that is pretty normal for a side-slider, unless you want to use brute force to slide out the keyboard...

That's why I pay an extra £5 a month, so that if there is any damage with the phone, like me dropping it, or If Im not happy with it I can send it back.

Trust me, I did it 3 times with my M5000 when I had a run that the screen wobbled badly.

If there is a bad build quality on your phone and you;re not happy with it, then OCS just saying "it's normal" is just plain wrong. Don't give up so easily, if the phones not right and more importantly if your not HAPPY with the phone, its up to them to change it.
