Guest Samsonite Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 (edited) oooo.. i do like that screen with the options in the icon bar.. I'll give it a whirl when its ready! 'ppreciate the advice when it comes to getting things just right in editing the xml but i tend to leave that side of things well alone. I've never found the right files to edit when it comes to homescreens and just know that i will get it wrong and kn@cker something. I think its safer if i just stick to Cab files and the like - i know its a freeloading attitude but i rely on my phone too much to bork it! EDIT: tried the xml edit thing... didnt work... <_< I know there are loads of tutorials knocking around to build homescreens but i can never get started with them. now if someone were to run a workshop at a meet or something.... :) Edited August 20, 2007 by Samsonite

Guest zeeshee Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 when are we getting the new skins???
Guest paholman Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 when are we getting the new skins??? Nearly finished, so hopefully next week, although I don't have a lot of time at the moment to complete them, nor create a cab file, so they will be zip files, to be uncompressed and copied manually to the phone. I've created 3 x PhoneAlarm IconBar skins, and as I can't decide which one I like best, I'll include all

Obviously i must have been doing something not quite right but i really like the screen with the Globe background and the pic going to the top of the screen would make it pretty much perfect... I've created a transparent iconbar version for the "Default" XML: Just extract to your PC, and copy the XML file to \Application Data\Home, then select it from HomeScreen settings:- Endless.Default.Clear.home.zip If you want the same for the other versions, let me know..... Guest Erwink85 Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 still have the crashing problem
Guest paholman Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 still have the crashing problem Try my new version, it works better with the VOX orientation switching: http://www.modaco.com/available-Endless-Ult-t258922.html It needs phoneAlarm plugin. The download link contains a 30 day trial version of phoneAlarm. See if it works any better for you
Guest tjaden Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 Hi I've found a version of CommCEntric, that works in landscape mode: http://www.smartphone-freeware.com/download-commcentric.html

Works ok on the tests I did too. I'll update the zip file in the downloads section, and add a note to the 1st post. Thanks "tjaden" ;)

Guest Beurlap Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 First of all, great Homescreen!, nice and customizable But.. I have 1 problem. The date is not displayed on the top of the screen. everything else works perfect! Any idea what could be the cause?

The date is not displayed on the top of the screen. everything else works perfect! Any idea what could be the cause? Hmm, not sure on that. Will do some testing and let you know Thanks EDIT: Due to the crashing/locking/hanging issues with the VOX after screen rotation, it was found by "tjaden" that an earlier version of the CommCEntric plugin seemed to work well, so I put that version in the zip file instead. As a result, the earlier version doesn't seem to have the date functionality, so I'll need to "squeeze" it in elsewhere now, perhaps beneath the "Wifi" text. It will have to be small though. I'll do this within the next few days, and put a newer version on the downloads section. Thanks Edited September 30, 2007 by paholman
