Guest Paul (MVP) Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Buy a 6 or wait for an 8? Hmmm! I do have a 4GB already, so i'll wait I think ;) P
Guest bydandie Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 I'm a bit confused here as memorybits are saying 1.5MB/s write which sucks :( https://www.memorybits.co.uk/shop/micro-sd-...er-sdcd6gb/4921 Whereas moby actually specify Class 4 http://www.mobymemory.com/products/SanDisk...-USB-reader.asp Are these products different ? Cant be ? ;) To those who have this card I'm assuming that you can transfer a gig onto it in around 250-300seconds or say 5mins ? Thanks The speed of writing data using the supplied card reader is FAST! :D MM is correct and these devices are class 4. :)
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Yeah, looks great with my mac too ;) P
Guest lozzd Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Just another "it works" here. My Sandisk 6gb card is great.
Guest ex_zero Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 +1 on having the 6GB working, just got my TyTN II and the 6GB Sandisk card and I have used up nearly 5GB on it, no problems so far *knocks on wood*
Guest kms108 Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 I have both the sandisk 4GB class 2 and the toshiba 4GB class 4, both works fine on the tytn 2, I did simple test on both of the cards and the toshiba has a higher read speed of 20MB/s against the sandisk at 11MB/s, and although the toshiba is stated as class 4, it's only a little bit faster on the write speed, as the classes states is the minimum write speed. I also ordered a 6GB class 4 from UK, but arrived corrupted, and sandisk US has agreed to exchange it for another, so i'm waiting for it in the post. kms
Guest Tothotspur Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 *bump* to see if any others have had problems. i am about to push the buy button for a 6gb sandisk from play
Guest sc0user_75 Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 You sure you dont wanna wait for the 8gb cards ;)
Guest Tothotspur Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 6gb will do me fine, 8gb would be too much for me
Guest rickyburke Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 Another SanDisk 6gb user here. No problems at all.
Guest Rush242 Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 Yeah. My SD card actually showed as 'shipped' last Tuesday, and when I cancelled the order on Monday this week it was showing as 14 days for stock. I spoke to them a few days and they kept saying "they're coming in today", but couldn't actually tell me when the stock was actually going to arrive. I ordered from Play in the end - by the time you take into account the fact that they're £5 cheaper and Expansys were charging me shipping on the SD card, Play work out at about £2 more expensive than the £10-off price.... and I'm expecting my card to arrive today. Yeah, I finally did that as well. Of course, the day I canceled my order from eXpansys, and ordered from Play, is the same day that eXpansys got them in. So either way, I have the Play version arriving tomorrow. I saved 3 quid, and got the reader with it, which the eXpansys card was not bundled with.
Guest kms108 Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 there is never too much for extra memory, you will have use for it later on. kms
Guest GLOPRO Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 I have both the sandisk 4GB class 2 and the toshiba 4GB class 4, both works fine on the tytn 2, I did simple test on both of the cards and the toshiba has a higher read speed of 20MB/s against the sandisk at 11MB/s, and although the toshiba is stated as class 4, it's only a little bit faster on the write speed, as the classes states is the minimum write speed. Can you test them in the device to actually determine the read and write speed that the TytnII can handle? thanks
Guest RickDawson Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 6gb SanDisk card works straight out of the box for me, including file browsing for it from ActiveSync (latest version) only had it since yesterday in the post late morning. I hope I haven't jinxed anything!!!
