Guest WILBUR
okay - i had it working fine this morning with Windows mobile search mapping, but i don't really understand what is going on... with my bluetooth gps at least i knew when it was on or not.... 1) is it on all the time? or does it only turn on when a program asks for it? 2) can i disable it if i don't want to use up batteries? 3) is there any indication on the device that it actually receiving signals? (outside of tomtom) 4) is it true that changing any settings in "external gps" leads to imminent doom? (more complicated... but 5) how does quick gps work?) Guest rickyburke
1-when a program asks for it, to save battery life 2-See 1 3-I think its the Orange LED on the right of the speaker. 4-Yes, you dont need it!!!!!! 5-It uses a data connection to map out satellites from an internet database so finding them is easier.
