Guest hotdog69 Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 USD$100 to who ever can get a 2gb minisd card to fully fuction on an MPx220. $200 for a 4gb minisd. doesn't matter how you get it to work. you can hack the ROM, the registry, or the hardware. you can even swap out parts from other phones or sources. doesn't matter what you do, as long as a 2gb or higher memory card fully works on a mpx220.
Guest geoffrey118 Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 I heard it's been done before!! All you need is the CORRECT 2GB memory card!! Not all of them are compatible but some are!!
Guest genaldar Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 It has more to do with the phone, some work with it, others don't.
Guest hotdog69 Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 (edited) can your phone read the whole 2gb? the phone can only read the first GB from what i have experienced and heard. there should be no problem getting a 2gb to function on a mpx220, but being only able to read/write on only the first 1gb defeats the purpose of a 2gb+ minisd card. Guest Alkeli Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 Try formatting your card to NTFS, this should do the trick.
Guest Alkeli Posted October 23, 2007 Report Posted October 23, 2007 (edited) Actually, even better and a more reliable way to do it properly, google "Panasonic SD formatter" and use that tool to format your card. You will then have the full 2 GB's available. In theory, this will also work with a 4GB stick. Now, let's discuss how you're going to send me this money ;) lol Memory cards are different from hard drives and formatting with hard drive formatting software will work for the PC's, but it's not how the card specs are designed to work. Oh and using this tool, FORMAT AS FAT16!!!! Edited October 23, 2007 by Alkeli
Guest hotdog69 Posted October 23, 2007 Report Posted October 23, 2007 Are you guys serious? I've tried formatting it fat16 fat32 and ntfs a lonnnggg time ago. And used that panasonic SD formatter. i even tried to make 2 1gb partitions. none of them work. are you positive you can write to the card on the phone when it is 1gb full? try saving a picture to your card when it is half full. this method has been discussed before and it's been proven to not work.
Guest Alkeli Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Well, worked fine for me... try a different brand, like panasonic, or even a cheap no name brand... just try one, if it doesn't work, return it and get a different brand, try again etc etc... But, that panasonic sd formatter should do the trick for pretty much any kind of SD card by formatting fat16... what brands have you tried? return your card and try something else... you can always return them within a couple days from pretty much ANY store so it's not like you're going to end up buying tons of cards...
