Guest crazyc Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 Not much better for data then! Personally i'm on 3 with their £5/1GB X-series bundle. Works great! Generally I am not a big data user, and could cope with a 100meg fup i suppose, but not 30 meg.! Not sure about 3 - have not heard great things about coverage etc. How do you find them?
Guest iancjc Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 I have the open access bundle on orange - was going to cancel it years ago as wap on my older phones was never worth the bother. been using it on a trea for the past couple of years a lot more and now on my orange tytn II. Last month I had 345mb of data for my 4 quid - I've set the phone up to do everything via the orangewap apn. At the minute I'm working away and use the phone connected to my laptop for full email and web access - this month I will be closer to 1gb in data I would think. Best bundle offer I've ever taken up in hindsight......
Guest Monolithix Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 3 are fine imho, their flakey past isnt so much of a problem any more. 3G coverage is good and i believe they fall back on to o2's network outside of this. The X Series is good, only prob is they block msn directly and provide their own client, just not for WM (yet) :s I get around this using palringo though... The only other prob i've had is that their sims are 3G only, so you cant use them in 2G handsets, annoying but not the end of the world nowadays...
Guest crazyc Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 as I am now concerned that my owb will vanish at the end of my contract,I thought I would see what the other networks have to offer. good to see that on 18 month contract for pretty much the same price I pay now and for pretty much the same minutes and texts I can get a kaiser free from vodafone and o2. difference is the 120 mb and 200 mb fups. so would anyone care to comment on network performance of these two. do o2 have hsdpa? vodafone said they did and I could have it. thoughts welcome.

Indeed I did 500 gig last month and am lapping it up for just £4quid a month heheheheh My complete bill for last month was £20including £1 for an itemised bill - I might give up the luxury of itemised billing :( It was for this very reason that I kept this bundle - thankyou orange - I'll be leeching you for life :D Its interesting that you can get HSDPA too. HSDPA via orangewap -> bluetooth pan -> my laptop - Sweet.
Guest crazyc Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 O CS confirmed I cannot extend my data bundle and would need to switch to the extremely limited unlimited bundle. O2 here I come I think, but will have to wait till Jan/Feb. (But I feel the need for a new phone now!)
