Guest ketanc Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone can recomend a way to play my mce2005 recordings of tv programs and also DVD and DivX files on my Vario III. I would like to make the most of my media files by taking them with me on the move. Orb is great but not always usefull. Ideally I would like to compress the videos down to about 128mb for a full length movie. I think this should be OK seeing as the resolution on the Vario III is not very high anyway. Thank you for any help & advice you can offer. Ketanc
Guest UncleJimbo Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 TV Toolbox http://msmvps.com/blogs/chrisl/archive/200...31/1078068.aspx is a Vista MCE plugin that will allow you to convert recordings to other formats from within MCE itself. There are MCE2005 plugins and standalone software that will do the same job but no names spring to mind. A quick Google should help you out ;)
Guest Deathace Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 The Core Pocket Media Player (TCPMP) is usually pretty good for playing most things, get the ffdshow and relevant codecs installed and you should be fine, also pocket divx encoder is a good util to convert video to smaller size to watch on your PDA. Guest the_ape Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 Your best bet is to have a wander over to www.thegreenbutton.com, loads of WMC/VMC help and advise. There are a few apps that will do the transcoding....
