Guest MadMatt2002 Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 Hi, I'm having great problems with the my microsd cards. I've tried a 6gb card (sandisk from play.com) and a 1gb card that was supplied with a HTC touch. All works well for a short time - files copied over direct on the PC work fine using the usb adaptor etc. Running tomtom etc with the maps on the cards works fine. As soon as I try to save photos from the camera to the cards they become corrupt. WM6 continues to recognise the card, but will not open any off the files - I get a "Cannot open file" type error. I've low level formatted both cards and still got the same problem. Does anyone have any other ideas? When other users take a 3M photo, how long does it take to save? Mine can take upto 10 seconds. Many thanks Matthew
Guest waynepyrah Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 Is it a class 4 sd card, I saw somewhere only class 2 were supported.
Guest Phil Lee Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 I have a class 4 SanDisk 6Gb card in my VIII. I just took a photo and it took a second or so to save the file to the memory card.

Ditto. For some reason it's created a DCIM folder and 100Media inside that, but the photo is there and music is still playing off the card...
Guest MadMatt2002 Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 Many thanks for the replies. T-Mobile have agreed to replace it in the morning! Cheers Matthew

So, if you phone creates a DCIM folder and 100Media folder is that wrong??? Mine also has these folders when I click on Storage Card. PS I'm sure I know the answer to this question but just need confirmation... do those using the VIII have a light around their D-Pads when the keypad lights up?
