Registry tweaking - Access is Denied

I'm trying to change a few values in my registry in the "HKLM\Security" section and it keeps telling me Access is Denied. I know other people are doing it, so just wondering what you have to do in order to allow yuorself to change these values?

I had a similar problem on my Vario III. It depends on what registry editor you are trying to use.

I downloaded PHM cab file file from http://mobile.surrealnetworks.com/MDAapps.htm because I couldnt get the desktop installer one to work. Anyway, load the cab file directly to your device and install it from there.

This worked for me, hope it works for you too.

You probably need to app unlock... i'm guessing it ships with a certain degree of registry protection.
