help? vario 3 as a modem via USB or BT? Mac probs

hI im trying to use the vario 3 as either a USB modem or as a BT modem connected to my powermac G4 running OSX 10.3.9 with no success. do i need missing synch, tried using various methods, but nothing works. added windows mobile 1.8 driver as recommended, then try and connect via BT but wont establish connection. Does anyone have any suggestions.

If you enable Internet Sharing it can be used as a modem using either method.
