Guest SteveI
Hi just a quick question that I hope that someone here may be able to help me with. I understand that the kaiser has wifi and when it eventually arrives I would like to connect it to my wireless router, just one thing though, my router has its WIFI SSID hidden and is controlled by MAC address so that only machines that I have added the mac address to my router can access the router. The question I have is.... How do you find what the MAC address is of the Kaiser? Thanks in advance.
Guest James
Hi mate, i also use MAC address filtering on my router... i dont have a kaiser but i do have an eten WM6 device, the Eten WiFi driver app tells me the MAC address.. Guest jimbouk
Yep - just turn on wifi and then go into settings, connections tab, wlan. In there will be your mac address - so you can add it to your router. You also have the option of setting wifi lans as "hidden" so the device aggressively trieds to connect to hidden sssid's. Guest ChefChaudart
I would ask my question ;) , I use Wi-Fi with an ip address linked to the TyTN Mac address, and DHCP is activated. but ; If I do not enter a DNS address, everything (in terms of Wi-Fi) works fine except IE. So I have to enter manually ip addess of my DNS. Strange isn't it ? Cheers
Guest Subliminal Aura
Check if you've in inadvertently switched on a proxy in your settings. I've found the wireless stack to work great on the Kaiser - It even does WPA2 - setup is swift and simple. //edit to the OP. Why do people hide their SID ? DUH ! The MAC address of the wireless router is still visible to everyone. ;) Edited October 19, 2007 by Subliminal Aura
