Much more responsive and better UI interaction than the Java client. However, the standard Messaging application doesn't support IMAP IDLE which is necessary for IMAP push email support. I've read there's only two Window Mobile clients capable of IMAP IDLE and one is FlexMail. Of course, this all depends on Gmail supporting the Lemonade Profile.
