Or a 3MPix AF camera! Surely that would make it more competitive than wifi or GPS?

Still not convinced by the silly ScrollR or whatever it's called....

Hmm not convinced, what we need is a Kaier that has the same styling but without the keyboard then we're talking!

Still not ruling out, there's been a few HTC devices that look fugly in pics but nice in the flesh (excalibur)

I'll wait for a review of device ...... (.... in steps P with a review me hopes??)

Any idea about which networks will be taking this handset on? (Orange maybe...???)

hi Paul, I'm from Italy , here they are on sale from 3 days TIM branded ;)

I like the fact that you took that picture with an N95 8GB :D

Off topic:

Now that you're in possession of both phone, which one do you like best? Especially the build quality and how they both feel when holding them in your hand.

About the Touch Cruise: It seems really feature packed, but I agree on the design. It doesn't exactly look like a beauty queen on those photos. Hopefully (and probably) it will look better in real life :(

N95 8GB it's a great phone, but , al least for me, nothing can beat the build quality and the feel you have holding the Dual in your hand ;)

Doesn't the P3600i come close? 'Only ' 2mp camera, but these aren't designed to be primary photographic devices!

Thanks for the reply. That's what I wanted to know ;) Nokia seems to be lagging in build quality with many of their Nseries phones (though N95 8GB should be better in that aspect than the original N95), while one of the strong points of HTC is that they usually build solid devices.

Not enough of an upgrade from the Trinity for me!

Slightly Better Cam, FM Radio and more Rom/Ram are good

But...

Its Too big, Too thick, and I don't think they have addressed the issue of the poor video playback. This problem seems to be present on all of HTC's recent 400Mhz CPU devices (including the Kaiser and Trinity, which supposedly have dedicated ATI GPU chips).

I find it staggering that neither Kaiser nor the trinity (and probably not the Polaris/Touch Cruise) are able to play back a VGA quality DivX when my 100 year old HTC Magician (Quality device by the way) could do this with ease????

Not good enough man!

Also the Software upgrades I already have on my Trinity (via xda-developers.com).

I'm considering the LG KS20 instead, it lacks GPS, and it probably wont be able to play back a VGA DivX either (same Qualcom chipset as the Kaiser and Touch Cruise) but at least its small and slim and looks good?

It seems that the KS20 doesn't have SDHC though, which is a big downside IMO..

I think that can be remedied by a little nifty cab file from XDA-Developers. Apparently Microsoft had released a new version of Windows CE, which supports SDHC, from which someone has extracted the needed code ;)

Hmm. This is pretty tempting. If only they'd stick the eten x800's screen in it and we could have best of both worlds.

Any news on availability on T-mobile?

Any wild rumours about HTC finally releasing a small VGA device?

Hello,

I'm sorry but this idea of a VGA screen with a such little size is "stupid". VGA is good for 4" screen size, not for 2,8".

Ooo, is it possible to get this for my Trinity then?

Hmm. There's no reason why this has to be the case. In the worst case scenario you just give everything twice as many pixels, which though pointless isn't particularly harmful (beyond the minor battery life and CPU effects). However there are loads of pretty major advantages. While browsing for example, I would happily accept tiny fonts in order to squeeze more on to the screen on some sites, something that VGA enables while still preserving some degree of readability. And likewise with gaming, there are many old PC games now ported to WM that are designed to run at VGA and don't really work at any other res. And lets not forget that viewing photos on any screen is more satisfying the higher the pixel density. (I'd also mention films, but the impression I get is that the current gen of CPUs can't handle VGA video decoding, though this will change soon no doubt.)

I'm seriously considering this as a replacement for my M3100...if the 'O' decide to release it...

Which leads to my question...

Any news on whether the 'O' lot will?

I can hump on a Touch Dual at the moment (they're asking too much for the TyTn II)...

Or I can wait a while if I know the Cruise is coming out...

??

Well the unconnected version should be shipping this month I believe...how long it will take manufacturers to get it after that I have no idea.

Considering Orange UK didn't have its predecessor the P3300, I'm not sure they'll take on the Touch Cruise? Especially with the Touch, Touch Dual and Kaiser already there. Additionally, from what I've read they might take on the LG KS20 which is a very similar device bar TouchFLO and GPS.

Who knows!

I'm hopeful for it coming out on T-Mobile. But I guess it won't be till well into next year.

The specs on this are good, I don't know if I can bear to be without a keyboard now! :(
