Guest blewer Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 if you're going away and you still want to clock points up then open Navizon then tap on Menu, Options and then tap on the Data tab and set locator to (local database). These settings are 'permanent' and you can change back when you return but the last bit you need to do before you drive off is to open the options/data page again and tap Work Offline then tap OK and tap Start when you are ready and when you get to your destination tap Stop. When you return home of if you come to an WiFi hotspot open Navizon then tap Menu, Sync and that will upload your points to Navizon :) I do this all the time as I am on Virgin and the data rates are crap but I get loads of minutes and texts for peanuts so I always work offline. Exactly what I do, works every time ;-)
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 I guess this isn't supposed to happen: :) P

Excellent - thanks for this. I think i've got these settings anyway, but i'll check before i go. Thanks also Paul for confirming CA does the same.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 Well, CA TELLS Navizon to do the same, I would really be grateful if someone could test the scenario and confirm it works :) P
Guest ferryrich Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Might be a stupid question this, but how do you get the rewards from them? I've built up a few already but when I try to save or redeem using my paypal account it just says you need to add a PayPal account yada yada...
Guest Wolfie24 Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Thanks for the help guys, cant wait to try it with my gps receiver when I get home! Im glad to hear Scott was in the same situation and that the update worked for him, that gives me a lot of confidence. You guys know what your talking about :) I'll keep you posted, I should be able to test it Monday morning :D Thanks tsutton, this c500 patch update worked a treat, now runs like a dream!!!
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 I just hit redeem (after hitting save to save my paypal details first) and it works? P
Guest retrospek Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Hi Guys, Quick Question.. Because I'm now leaving my Wifi on I keep getting prompted to join a wireless Network as I drive around.. Any ideas how to stop the Pocket PC (Touch Cruise) from prompting if it can connect to a wireless network ? Thanks, Mark
Guest WearTheFoxHat Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 I was told to select "Dont show this message again" ... but it still does popup!
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Hmm, I selected that and i'm sure it DOESN'T pop up? :) P
Guest WearTheFoxHat Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Yup ... every time it sees a new network then it pops up. Actually that might be incorrect, I need to check that statement. The "dont show me this again" message might mean "Dont show me any more popups during this usage of wifi". Thus I dont get notifications again until I restart the wifi stack. But I do recall telling it not tell me again, yet it still does! Bloody inconsistent devices !!! lol
Guest WearTheFoxHat Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 (edited) I think I might be heading for a hard reset, and then just install the applications which work and are useful! (Another one which doesn't work is SMS delivery notification .. I have enabled it in several places ... such as in the messaging section ... kaiser tweak ... and also the SMS notification fix application) .. yet I still don't get delivery reports as standard! Guest ferryrich Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 I just hit redeem (after hitting save to save my paypal details first) and it works? P Thats what I tried - it just doesn't save my details :) 4 rewards awaiting now too!
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Their site is a bit dodgy sometimes, try a different browser perhaps? P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Not helpful then! :) Time to mail support :D P
Guest bacus Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 I was told to select "Dont show this message again" ... but it still does popup! Try this:- Start Settings Sounds & Notifications Select the 'Notifications' tab In the 'Event' box select 'Wireless network detected' Untick all the boxes (I think 'Play sound' and 'Display message' are on by default) OK 'X' to close settings Hope this helps. I've built up a few already but when I try to save or redeem using my paypal account it just says you need to add a PayPal account yada yada... Hi I entered my PayPal e-mail address in the box and selected redeem. I then got an e-mail from PayPal asking me to verify the transfer from Mexens. Next time I redeemed a reward I hit save before the redeem button and I got a message to say "Paypal account saved". This time I did not get a mail from PayPal and the reward was transfered. Hope this helps. r Andrew

It turns out my problem was actually a bug introduced yesterday and has been fixed in the last half hour or so. So thanks to Navizon support, who acted quickly :)
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Here's hoping they fix the 'leaderboard stats' next, which show completely blank atm! P
Guest blewer Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 I was told to select "Dont show this message again" ... but it still does popup! When in Navizon press 'Menu' then 'Options'. On my M700 'Extras' appears as left soft key - then tick or untick WiFi Pop Ups Hope this works for you Adam
Guest Fozza Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 I know the stats are down buy hey I just got my 7th reward!!! Ok Paul I know that ain't impressive to you but it is to me :)
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Nice work! I think i've just claimed my 33rd... wish they'd fix the 'stats' page! P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Are you using the Navizon client or CA? P
