Guest Fozza Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Are you using the Navizon client or CA? P CA However the last two times it has locked up on upload, losing me 2000 aps on one and about 1000 on the other. Just locked into revolved spinning disk. Have now hard reset my kaiser and am trying again :)
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Really? You should be using a new version then, cos they upload every 10 minutes now :) Make sure you grab the new build! P

Guest andybarker Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Anyone else had problems getting Navizon to log Cells? I'm using it on a HTC Universal / MDA Pro with a T-Mobile sim, and it often sticks at 0 cells, and on the odd occasion says 1. Now I may not have gone all that far, but 10 miles from home I would expect at least one more tower! Any thoughts? Anyone else using a T-Mobile SIM?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 Just been out driving with no SIM in the device, and it didn't log any cells at all :S For those that have had this working, which device were you using? P
Guest bigdish Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 I have tried no SIM in my Kaiser and like you no cells. Was testing the theory that if emergency calls could be made then all operator cells could be found ?? In Navizon the phone button stays greyed out so I guess it does not look for cells without a phone enabled Sim. BTW have you tried a foreign SIM yet set for roaming ? r Andrew
Guest WearTheFoxHat Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 Problem that I see with a foreign SIM set for roaming is that it would still only find the cells that the operator has a partner agreement with. I'm perfectly happy to be proved wrong though!!
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 Don't forget many partner with more than one network tho! P
Guest bigdish Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 Well my emergency call theory is not on. See http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=554023 Urban myth ??? r Andrew p.s. Just tried with no SIM and 999 does not work

Just tried with no SIM and 999 does not work ROFL, I can't believe you took the sim out and tried to call!!! Don't ever buy a Breitling Emergency watch, they will charge you about £35k for testing that the Emergency transmitter works! :)
Guest bigdish Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 :) Checked out with my policeman friend first. He bet me a pint it would not work - off to the pub........

Weel been to Sheffield (from Luton area) for the day, and picked up lots of cells. Very perculiar behaviour locally. My points went up from 3.5k to 8.5k just from that trip! Yay!

I've had problems logging cells/APs with the CA version. but have downloaded navizon directly from the navizon site and it works fine. With both programs installed would one interfere with the other working
Guest tbag Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 Oh, and does anyone have any ideas on running two gps programs at once. I've read articles on CA and tomtom with a blue tooth gps but i've got an SPV M700 with internal gps and cannot seem to run two gps apps at the same time. [Navizon currently selects GPD1 and I am using nokias Smart2go - great free mapping prog. but no option to manually change com port. Also tried GPS Dash which says failed to open com port when Navizon is running]
