Hi,

Hard to describe in words, so here are some screen grabs, from an HTC Touch. The images are actually animations and since they are really multimedia ringtones, they also have sound; some stereo.

Here, you are in the role of the person receiving phone calls.

PeterD's calls to you are announced with the Panda animation & sound. You might have assigned it to him, or PeterD might have chosen it himself. The latter is new - we don't think you will have seen this before.

3x's calls to you are announced with the Santa BBQ animation & sound. Again you might have assigned it to 3x, or 3x might have picked it himself. Both options are equally valid.

The last image shows the mobile portal where you manage everything. There's also a PC portal - http://www.monikker.com

You can choose a 'World monikker' or a 'Phone monikker' or both. Your World monikker is seen by other monikker users you call. Your Phone monikker is seen by you when other people call you - anyone at all - not just other monikker users (well, mor correctly calls from anyone who doesn't yet have their own World monikker).

If 3x changes her 'World monikker', this is transported to your mobile phone next time 3x calls you or you call 3x, and calls from 3x will from now on be announced with 3x's new World monikker. It's cached on your phone so that it is only downloaded one time. All this happens in the background, automatically. (BTW, monikker media is small - animation + mp3 sound on average less than 50k.)

You can also have special monikkers for particular people. Ie. just for calls to that person.
