Have you tried to contact your network or HTC?

alternative solution is to get the extended battery (which is physically bigger) and has a new cover (black. not silver):

DIY approaches:

mayby you could cut a bit of a cd case and glue that in place of the existing bit of plastic?

how about getting some Displex?

once You have it replaced, I'd suggest cutting up a screen protector and putting it over it.

I have a big scratch on my camera lense also. funny thing is there isnt a scratch anywhere else on the phone. those lenses are not very scratch resistant. ive got a Martin Fields screen protector with protectors for the two camera lenses but i want to replace my battery cover before i put a protector on the back camera lense on the battery cover first

Hi again I've ordered a new battery cover and martin fields screen protector form expansys but the battery cover never seems to come into stock it's been Estimated 7 Days or more for the last month and as they seem to be the company that sells the htc accessories from htc website it seems don't have another option as i really want a stock item as my experience of none stock phone stuff is it's a load of rubbish

If your lens cover is scratched, it's been proven that if you takethe plastic cover off the camera lens slot on the battery cover, the image of the picture will be clearer. It's comew off with no problems, b/c it is held in place by glue. Pictures ARE BETTER. This is my first post here, YEA!!! I post at XDA-Developers

i took the old scratched cover off and cut a piece of clear plastic packaging and it now take much better pictures. i was a bit worried the if i didn't cover the lens on the camera it would get scratched and i wouldn't be able to fix that thanks for all your help and suggestions Dan

phoned expansys the other day to find out why i still hadn't received the battery cover i had ordered over an month ago to find out they haven't had any form Htc and have no idea when they will be getting them so they are happy misadvertised stock coming to get orders they can't send out. really great company not has any one seen them advertised any where else
