Guest katieC Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 (edited) HELP! my boyfriend's TyTn 2 (Tilt version) turned to a weird screen when I tried to do a soft reset. It has 4 horzontal lines, top red, then green, blue and white. Top area says " KAIS1*0 MFG SPL-1.0.OliPof CPLD-8" then in the bottom white section it ways "Serial" then when I tried a second soft reset it wuickly flashed to " loading no image file" then back to the 4 colour bars tried taking out the battery, tried the on/off button, nothing works! How can we fix this? We bought it from Ebay, as its not yet available in our country otherwise. Edited March 4, 2008 by katieC
Guest jontelfer Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 It's been modified from the stock software. Maybe someone sold it because this went wrong. Either way, it's likely this can be fixed but you'll need to do a lot of reading over at the Kaiser Upgrading section of xda-developers.com. Jon
Guest jimbouk Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 The four colour screen is the bootloader - which means it is waiting for you to load a rom as it can't load the rom it has. You will be able to download a new rom from that forum and connect the device by USB cable to the pc and run the rom update, but as Jon says, read the upgrading advice to make sure you have the best chance to flash successfully. You may need to run a few commands first if the bootloader is damaged. Should be fine once you flash a good rom on to it.
