varioIII not charging in the car

my vario is not charging in the car.

before the hard reset, it did!

i didn't let the tmobile cabs and customisations take place.

anyone heard of this and know of a workaround?

What type of car charger are you using ?

I had a 3rd party car charger which worked fine on my other MDA/Vario handsets, but it wouldn't change my Kaiser, the orange change LED would come on but it wouldn't accept charge, I purchased an official HTC car charger and it works fine, I'm not sure what the issue was but it looks like 3rd party car chargers don't work with the Kaiser.

Hopefully that helps, I don't think the issue will be resolved by use of a cab...although I'm happy to be proved wrong :D

I find that the phone charge level does not go up when charging.... but it doesn't drop either even with Google Maps running GPS and HSDPA>

The 3rd Party car charger I was using was one sold at my local T-Mobile store for use on both MDA & Vario handsets, it did work on the Vario 1 & 2, but not my Kaiser...hence the reason for buying the HTC one.

pinout was flattened probably due to a frustrated and incorrect pushing of the soft reset with the stylus ..
