my vario is not charging in the car.

before the hard reset, it did!

i didn't let the tmobile cabs and customisations take place.

anyone heard of this and know of a workaround?

thanks,

What type of car charger are you using ?

I had a 3rd party car charger which worked fine on my other MDA/Vario handsets, but it wouldn't change my Kaiser, the orange change LED would come on but it wouldn't accept charge, I purchased an official HTC car charger and it works fine, I'm not sure what the issue was but it looks like 3rd party car chargers don't work with the Kaiser.

Hopefully that helps, I don't think the issue will be resolved by use of a cab...although I'm happy to be proved wrong :D

Would this also be the case with operator branded chargers??

I have an Orange branded Kaiser so I went to Orange for a charger.....but they do this modular system and I'm not sure it would be up to the job, so I went to the O2 shop and got an "O2 Stellar in-car charger"

I find that the phone charge level does not go up when charging.... but it doesn't drop either even with Google Maps running GPS and HSDPA>

The 3rd Party car charger I was using was one sold at my local T-Mobile store for use on both MDA & Vario handsets, it did work on the Vario 1 & 2, but not my Kaiser...hence the reason for buying the HTC one.
