Guest Paulplex Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 (edited) Hi all, I've got a TyTN II from Orange, sent to me as an upgrade in March: I like it and although I've noticed a slow down in some of the graphical programs I have (like TomTom for instance), I'm not personally too bothered about this whole graphic performance HTC class action shin-dig that others seem to be. However, I am bothered by this: ...sometimes sliding the screen up and down to switch from portrait to landscape to portrait again helps - but not in the above example as you can no doubt see :D This happens after the phones been on for a while - over 12 hours generally - and occurs regardless of if you are connected via Active Sync or not. Screen grab taken with the excellent program True Connect by the way. ...I've hard-reset the device and it happens without any new software on it - so I don't think it's anything to do with the HTC Today screen I've installed, the Touch-flo cube or anything else such as True Connect - but is this unique to me or are other people seeing this too? Guest hotphil Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 Have you got Batti installed? It looks like the issues I had when I had Batti installed.... try removing it.

Batti is installed: I'll try removing it to see what happens but I seem to recall the same problem happened after a hard-reset, with no new software installed at all. If it is Batti, can anyone recommend a good alternative - I like the full width power meter bar at the top of the Today screen you see...
Guest miker33 Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 My VarioIII used to do that every day or two as well, I did have Batti installed tho too and hadn't tried to remove it but after I flashed to WM6.1 it's very rare now that I get the problem (normally over 2 weeks) so it's most likely down to rubbish graphics drivers.

Hi Hotphil, Just thought I'd say thanks: I removed Batti after reading your post from the 10th and the screen hasn't gone screwy since. ...I've got the Orange branded icon for the battery now (why do Orange have to change the perfectly adequate icons on my phone?!) on the top-bar: anyone know how to put the regular battery icon back there instead - or a good replacement for Batti?
