Guest Chippa Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 Got my Tytn II last year and have now been offered an upgrade by Tmobile. I like my Tytn II and the only thing I can knock is that I find it a bit bulky mostly due to the slide keyboard which I rarely use. Can anyone recommend a PDA phone that does what my TYTN II does but without the sliding keyboard or does anyone know of any projects in the pipeline by HTC that I should hold out for? Thanks in advance. Chippa :D
Guest shootydogthing Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 (edited) if you'd been watching, you'd have seen that there's 3 phones coming out from HTC VERY soon, with the kaiser's specs plus better processors, faster data and better GPS, VGA screens and Manilla plus official WM6.1 and radios too, as well as touch sensitive buttons They are the: Diamond: Touchscreen only, but with 4GB of storage Titanium: up/down sliding numeric or SureType keypad, and TV out (probably) Raphael: Sideways sliding 5-row QWERTY keyboard and TV out. have a quick scroll down the news page to find the article :D Edited April 30, 2008 by shootydogthing
Guest Chippa Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 (edited) Many thanks shootydogthing! Exactly the answer I was looking for. Will hold out for one of these worthy successors. :D Edited May 1, 2008 by Chippa
Guest smartmove08 Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 I too am due an upgrade on T-Mobile but suspect when they launch the Diamond they will be looking for £150-200 upgrade fee from me for this handset (current have Vario II). Does anyone know if I can port away my number to a PAYG operator and then a few days later port it back to T-Mobile on a new contract (new customers seem to get much better deals than an existing customer eligible for upgrade)? I musnt lose the number and dont want it in limbo for weeks and weeks.
Guest Chippa Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 I don't know if this is ok but T-Mobile are doing a new 30 day rolling contact called Solo at the moment so I'd guess you could move to one of the Solo plans and then cancel after 30 days and move onto a decent contract with them. T-Mobile Solo
Guest theodotcom Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 if you move to a solo plan and back it will probably be an upgrade when u move back similar to what orange do, you can port to virgin pay as u go, and immediately call virgin for a pac code, they will have to register your details but will give u the code straight away.
