Newbie- looking for pointers

I have a T-Mobile MDA Touch (HTC Touch). Bought it last week.

It has an 201 MHz processor, 128 MB of RAM and 256 MB of Flash (apparently some older MDA Touch versions have only 64 Ram and 128 Flash).

It is in Dutch language.

My problem is that I want to switch to English. Any solution is welcomed.

What I believe so far:

1. I will have to reflash it with an english firmware.

If so I have the following questions:

My dutch version of firmware is newer than the EN versions found on the net. What do I lose If I put an older version?

Model ELF0300

ROM version 2.26.114.52 NLD

ROM date 11/22/07

Radio version 03.08.90

Protocol version: 4.1.13.52

ExtROM version 2.26.114.152

If I reflash it and I try to use Windows Update, will it work (does it have any serial number that I should be aware ? If so, a version from the net may be considered pirated by Microsoft and not allowed to update) ?

What do I need to reflash (do I need to reflash also the radio firmware) ?

That's all I can think at the moment.

The reason your Dutch version is later than a WWE version is because they make a WWE version then have to localise it - the WWE version will be the same but in English.

Head on over to xda devs and get a better one.
