removing orange branding

Hi all,

Expecting a delivery of an orange branded kaiser any minute now.

Now I know I've read on these forums previously about removing the orange branding by performing a soft reset on startup - am I just imagining this, or is it possible.

(I have spent the last 20 minutes searching around various forums to find the answer but to now avail)

Would be grateful for someone's experience.

Nick

Yep, when you start the phone out the box (or after a hard reset) you should get the touchscreen calibration and a couple of other settings to input, then rip the battery out when you see the Starting Customisation (or similar) dialog popup. That'll stop all the Orange crap being installed. But you may need to know settings like the Voicemail number to input later.
