Guest sameerabedi Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 I was visiting a friend over the weekend and he spent time showing off his 'new' Nokia N95 8GB and showed me a rather impressive feature. Using the Wi-Fi on his phone he was able to access his home network and play music, access word and powerpoint files on his phone from the home network. He was also able to play music on the home network from his phone to play on the PC - which was connected to a amp and hence act like a personal remote control with volume control. He was also able to send pictures from his phone to the home network and vicer versa. Now, although very impressive, all this must be possible with the HTC TyTn II??? I've been searching some forums and haven't been able to come up with how to do it. Anyone know how to go about it? Anyone able to connect to their home network? Thanks

Guest jimbouk Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Easiest way is to flash your device with a rom with built in network functionality - so you can map network shares to your home drives. Otherwise install a network enabled file manager - like resco - and use that to access home network shares and then simply play them on your device. Otherwise there are some third party apps that let you control your home pc (with media centre) from your device.
