Guest hally83 Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Just the incoming call screen and then when the call ends It goes back to the start menu. This happens on mine too, when the call comes in I just accept the call (via bluetooth headset) then press the X in top right. It should go straight back to TomTom with the sound muted. If I don't do that, it just goes back to the start menu after the call and I have to go back to programs and back into tomtom.
Guest estechco Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Does the screen go completely blank (as in power save mode), or simply to the incoming call screen? Then very much one for any TomTom specialists around here? Either that or try what the previous post suggested.
Guest smcqis Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 is this the latest tomtom, when it says you get one free map, how large is one map what does it consist of?
Guest Neil5459 Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 is this the latest tomtom, when it says you get one free map, how large is one map what does it consist of? The free map is a small regional map- so in UK you may get the Oxford, or Cambridge area, or a part of Greater London. Rural areas show a larger region. I think non-UK maps are similar.
Guest sodde Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 The latest version of TomTom that will work on the touch pro in VGA is v7.910 (build 9185). This build will work with v6 & v7 maps only. I have it working on my tp with North America map 720.1803 and USA & Canada map 725.1905. Just thought you might like to know.

Guest TouchTom Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 This is probably very simple... Downloaded the cab from this thread and transferred it to phone - got Leeds map working no problem - bought the last version 6 UK map (for full price) from tomtom.com and the program has found it - Switch maps and asks me to activate manually or automatically - choose manually as support tells me to - then look for product code - press more info at map in Home 2 but no code (certainly not a 15 digit one) comes up ---- what am i doing wrong ... thanks
Guest robw Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 Is there a way of transferring the favorites to a new phone, ive had a look through the folders but cant find where they are stored, as id like to put a fresh copy on a new (larger) memory card for the diamond

That seems to hold my Favorites info, amongst other things.
Guest SSR Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 Take a look in the map folder (will have cline.DAT file in it amongst others), and you should find a file called MapSettings.cfg. That seems to hold my Favorites info, amongst other things. Heh, I was just about to ask that question and coincidentally browsed the thread. Curiously I could have sworn when I last reinstalled TomTom that it wiped my favourites. Perhaps it overwrites this file?
Guest Carlp Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 It sounds like you are missing the 7-digit postcode file. You can download it from here - unzip the 'ZIP' folder and put that folder in the root of wherever you installed TomTom (i.e. Device or Internal Storage... in fact it might be found in either regardless) You will (should) then be able to search with full postcodes. Mathew I did seach the TT site to if there was a patch for long postcodes, but could not find it. Having Googled for an answer to the issue of post codes on the TT NAV7, I came upon this site and this thread. I'd like to thank Mathew for posting the answer. As a complete IT numpty, even I found this easy to dowload and install on to my HTC. I'm a very happy bunny me.
Guest Mister Parker Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 question: can I download Tomtom for free on internet? anyone give me a url :D , thanks
Guest andybarker Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Yes you can if you look, and no we can't give you a link - would break the rules of the site.
Guest Limlin Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Should I pay for that? I already had ZorroGPS on my Diamond. And it's OK. I loaded the Aug. 24 version last weekend and this GPS is always improving. :D
Guest dickman003 Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 Here it is... It will work with v6 and v7 maps (not sure about v8?), of course because you are changing device you will need new codes for your maps from TomTom (or buy new maps). You can get 1 free city map directly from the application. This is a repack of a XDA-Developers posted CAB to add English voices and to tidy some stuff up. I put AppToDate support in for the hell of it, ready for when new builds come out. Also, keep an eye out for a TLR Diamond ROM soon! :) Dear 'TheLoanRanger', The link you have submitted about the CAB file is not working anymore. Can you or someone PLEASE submit the CAB file link for everybody. Many Thanks.

Guest mike-oh Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 (edited) Well gents. Appologies for not being in exactly the right place on the forum but I've installed the ttn7.915.9196.vga_black.cab file onto my Omnia 2 with no difficulties (copied cab file to storage card and installed from there). However, when i run TomTom, it is not detecting my (legitimately owned!!!) TTN6 maps which are installed into the correct folder \Storage Card\UK and IE plus major roads of WE. TomTom Home is being useless and telling me it can't find the installation file when i try to reinstall it using Home. Yet the cab file it's looking for is in exactly the correct place!! I've also tried copying across the UK map cab file and opening that on the phone only to be told it's been unsuccesfull. I can't even re-download my UK map from the TomTom website because that's talking about a Home Button being broken!! Can anyone help? Many thanks in advance. Mike Edited October 13, 2009 by mike-oh
