Guest fhaines Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 Sure I can do that. But my WM6.1 is Brazilian portuguese, is it good for you? If so, I will try to do it this weekend. You may also want to contact these guys. http://mobile.txcaesar.net/mobile/ They put together the WM6 rom for the original Blackjack before it was released to the public. It states that they need a WM 6.1 rom to work with and are willing to give a hand at extracting it from your Blackjack II. Hope it works out, as I am really tired of waiting on Samsung for the update.

Hope it works out, as I am really tired of waiting on Samsung for the update. I have tried working with Txcaesar and Da_G by trying to get them the ROM for i617 from mobileburn. mobileburn initially posted a demo of BJ2 with WM6.1 on youtube. After an initial response mobileburn failed to provide the ROM, and eventually after some time I gave up asking them when I saw a ROM Dump of wm6.1 for BJ2 on Txcaesar's site. So as far as I know they do have the ROM DUMP and wokring on the build. Consequently as per my last attempt to contact Da_G and Txcaesar to find out the latest on their efforts did not yeild a response. We all should get together, and ping them and let them know that there are willing volunteers out there - and we want to help in developing this build. I believe they are looking for a bootloader.. or so I read from crawling the forums. waiting... Regards, -G. Edited August 20, 2008 by Master_G

Guest Nottach Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 so do you think they are going to have a seperate loader/upgrader for XP users. The Vista installer will probably work in XP. You just have to run it in XP compatibility mode, maybe?

Guest MadSci Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 (edited) Well, all us BJII owners can kiss the WM 6.1 update farewell till 2009 I think. :D AT&T's leaked 'roadmap' said it was due in July '08, which is long gone already, but there's no way they will roll it out until they have wrung every last 'early adopter' $ out of the new(ish) Q running WM 6.1 :D Sigh, I wish AT&T hadn't provided me with such a long trail of broken promises over the past 5 years. Maybe I wouldn't be such a Cynic! Edited August 29, 2008 by MadSci
Guest omershahab Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 so if we upgrade to 6.1 what will stay as far as user data and what will go? will contacts, settings, graphics, etc stay?
Guest mmain1 Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 so if we upgrade to 6.1 what will stay as far as user data and what will go? will contacts, settings, graphics, etc stay? You will lose everything. You have been syncing all your Personal Information to Outlook right? If not, you should do that first.
Guest Sir_Brizz Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 Someone found this: http://www.wireless.att.com/answer-center/...&isSrch=Yes Must be soon!

Guest H.Flores Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 (edited) That Omnia seems like an awsome phone According to the following article the BJIII /or the the Epix- is going to be a really nice replacement for the BJII sounds like its going to be just as awsome as the omnia and to be released October 21st( Omnia looks too much like an I-Phone to me but still looks awsome)- I really like the options on the epix and the idea of an optical mouse and wi-fi as well as 3g http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2008/10/02/...is-called-epix/ Funny this article quotes a different name for the BJ III calling it ATT Mirage http://www.cellfanatic.com/2008/09/29/upco...eleases-for-att Edited October 13, 2008 by H.Flores
Guest sfleuriet Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 Anything new on the BJIII? One of those sites said Oct 21st would be the launch date...
