Guest steve_smith Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 I dont download music or movies via mobile but I do have push email on 16 hours a day, plus two pop accounts polling every 15 mins, do a lot of mobile surfing, messenger an hour or two per day and do download some fairly big files for work on my phone... I used to be on the original Web 'n' Walk bundle with T-Mobile that offered 40Mb a month limit. Had an IMAP account that polled every hour or so (Google Mail) and push email on 24/7. Then I used to do a bit of surfing during boring train journies a few times a month, and I never once got near to using the 40Mb allowance open to me :D But then again, I used to view sites optimised for mobile viewing in Pocket IE. So perhaps Opera with its much richer view of the web will eat more bandwidth.
Guest jimbouk Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 Which makes you wonder what these guys doing 1gb a month are up to... ( Porn I reckon )
Guest Confucious Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 Using HSDPA and viewing the web in all it's glory, 500Mb is easy to break.
Guest jimbouk Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 Not on a mobile device surely? I use PIE and Opera with full def images etc but even then I would need to look at 100's of webpages per day on my phone to achieve that.
