Whats the difference between HTC and Carrier branded

I am thinking of buying an ATT Tilt and getting it unlocked.

Is there any difference in doing this to buying an HTC branded phone?

ATT Branded includes ATT bloatware...easily fixed by flashing a new ROM.

ATT Branded does not have the forward facing 'video conferencing' camera.

I know there's more.
