Compact iV - texting problem

Hi,

I have the T-mobile compact iv. Although generaly happy with it - there is an issue with texting that i cannot resolve. It will not automatically leave a space after word completion despite the box for this to occur automatically being checked in the settings/input menu. I have to manually enter a space each time. - Any ideas ?

Also, signal strength does not go above minimum, even though I live a in a good reception area and used get maximium reception all the time on my compact III.
