Guest MBA140 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 In the UK you can use the t-mobile website to send you an SMS to configure it. The Samsung UK website can do that too. I don't know if you can do that in the US though.

Guest gavinfabl Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 Does the T-Mo rom have the Samsung Fun Club app or the Samsung Lifediary app? P Paul, where do these apps appear? Is it on the software discs? Not on my unbranded Omnia anywhere ?? Thanks.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 They appear in Programs, only seen them in a russian rom so far! P
Guest WearTheFoxHat Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 Hmmm could get the omnia on orange as cheap as possible and stick my T-Mo sim in it. Really dont want to be flinging money at Orange tho!
Guest Fiish Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 T-Mobile confirmed with me today that the Omnia they supply is SIM locked, and it would cost £15 to unlock it. I was offered 300 minutes, 300 texts, web n' walk for £30 per month and would have to pay £50 for the handset. I told them I would think about it. Somehow I think a better deal is definitely possible, besides, I hear O2 are offering the XDA Ignito (HTC Diamond with a nice flat back instead of the diamond back) for cheaper.

Somehow I think a better deal is definitely possible, besides, I hear O2 are offering the XDA Ignito (HTC Diamond with a nice flat back instead of the diamond back) for cheaper. I was quoted £140 for the handset on a £35 contract by T-Mob and have now gone to Vodafone - free handset on £35 contract. I just got off the phone with T-Mob after requesting my PAC code and as usual they asked why I was leaving. I told them it was the high cost of the handset and they said they 'simply cannot get anywhere near matching' the Voda offer - and they 'don't know how they are doing it for the money' (they said much the same yesterday too when I called up for the price on the Omnia). So I'd recommend the Vodafone offer on the Omnia while it lasts (I can't see it lasting much longer really). I got 600 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited (500Mb) internet and a free Omnia for £35 a month. Can't grumble - I'd have preferred to stay with T-Mob cos I've had no gripes with them and they offer 1Gb on the Web and Walk but I'm sure I can manage on 500Mb a month.
